After studying mechanical engineering in Darmstadt in 1989, she worked at Hoechst AG in installation planning and was project manager for construction of a plant in former East Germany.

in 1993 she became plant engineer in a pharmaceutical company with aseptic production.

in 1995 she installed a Technical Compliance Group for Sanofi-Aventis for sterile drug products in Frankfurt of which she is manager to the present day.

Since 2010 she assumed a new role as the leader of strategic projects, qualifications and regulatory requirements.
